UFOs in the daily Press:

TWO LIGHTS IN THE SKY OF BUENOS AIRES, JANUARY 1966:

The article underneath has been published in the daily newspaper La Nacion, of Buenos Aires, Argentina, on January 5, 1966.

Two luminous objects have been seen yesterday evening

Shortly after 19:30, during almost two hours, two luminous objects were clearly seen, as suspended in the sky, in the area close to the Rodriguez Galet square of this capital.

The two bodies had an intense luminosity, as the full moon usually shows in crystal clea nights. The first was spotted by a journalist of this newspaper, quite visible, on the right of the Carmen Chappell (Rodriguez Galet 830), between its tower and the avenue of Cordoba, where it remained completely motionless during long minutes, to then make a right displacement, from up to down, and to remain almost an hour in this second position. When the object was in this position, another, similar, was seen, that approached towards the first from the East. Separated by an appreciable distance, both were motionless a long moment, until the second initially moved towards the first, to stop at a constant distance. It then remained there for some twenty minutes and departed again by taking the direction by which it had appeared, until I ceased seeing it. Half an hour later the first object started to move towards the North and, little by little, it was lost from sight.

Many people had gathered in the vicinity which, by their width, made it possible to watch the two bodies without efforts, and this, naturally, provided reason to intense discussions on its possible origin.
